Everything’s the opposite of what we’ve always learned.
The working wage is given while embezzlement is earned.
Those who don’t play by the rules will always know the score,

The hypocrites took over the facility today.
The Democrats are wealthy and Republicans are gay.
The Amish have a TV that they hide beneath the floor,
And the Devil's got a Bible in the drawer.
The people on the news are wasting everybody’s time.
They’re tearing down the innocent while glorifying crime.
If it titillates it leads, but if it bleeds it’s called a bore,
And the Devil's got a Bible in the drawer.
Bill Gates has an iPod, and granddad’s smokin’ dope.
Exxon bought out Greenpeace, the NRA signed up the Pope.
Soldiers demand answers while musicians call for war,
And the Devil's got a Bible in the drawer.
The cost of living multiplies while dividends are cubed.
The revolution won’t be televised, you’ll see it on YouTube.
The pacifists are up in arms, won’t take this shit no more,
And the Devil's got a Bible in the drawer.
Up is down, and hot is cold, and white is the new black.
The leaders are all cheatin' on their wives and smokin’ crack.
Earth used to spin around the sun, according to the lore,
Now the Devil's got a Bible in the drawer.
It's really a lyric. It goes with banjos, beer, and a roaring campfire.
I feel a little bit like Alice in Wonderland every time I turn on the new-fangled TeeVee to hear that yet another epic global disaster is my fault.
It will be nice when reality returns, an event I ain't holding my breath for.
